Certification Overview

Clinical Hyperbaric Technician (CHT)

The CHT credential formally recognizes specialized education, technical knowledge, and professional competency related to clinical hyperbaric environments. The certification is administered by IBHBOT for professionals involved in the operation and support of clinical hyperbaric oxygen therapy services.

Certification is intended for individuals working under appropriate medical oversight and within the scope of practice defined by their professional licensure or credentialing.

Important: CHT certification does not replace, expand, or supersede an individual's primary professional license.

  • Patient preparation and support during hyperbaric treatments
  • Adherence to clinical protocols and safety procedures
  • Coordination with supervising physicians and clinical staff

All clinical authority and patient care responsibilities remain governed by applicable laws, regulations, facility policies, and medical oversight.
